Responsibilities
  • Leading the daily finance and administration activities and month/year closing.
  • Directing the financial activities for cost accounting, tax, and accounts payable.
  • Initiating process change, especially facilitating teamwork with general managers, IT, etc.
  • Benefits administration.
  • Implementing routines and accounting practices necessary for maintaining a high standard of controls compliance and proper statement of the balance sheet.
  • Primary contact with external service providers and auditors.
  • Managing the purchase and procurement function.
  • Ensuring that adequate controls are in place with respect to segregation of duties.
  • Working with banks to manage Lines of credit and Treasury functions.
  • Preparing and Monitoring Business and Operating plans.
  • Reporting financial package and trend analysis to the parent company within the deadlines.
  • Working with business lines to establish processes for different areas of the business so that they are in line with GAAP rules.
  • Taking ownership of topics relating to our office location in Buffalo Grove, IL.
  • Managing positive cash flow and implementing controlling measures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 2 years professional working experience in a similar position
  • Previous experience working with SoS-Inventory, Quickbooks, SAP Concur and/or other related systems necessary to operate the business.
  • Knowledge of tax related matters
  • Knowledge of import/export related matters (importing goods from Europe, exporting to Canada).
  • Experience with project business (Work in Progress, Percentage of Completion, …)
  • Hands-on mentality, proven ability to work independently and autonomously with self-motivation and commitment
  • Attention to detail, process management and ownership of results
  • French, Spanish or German language skills would be beneficial
